Lift One Lodge
Aspen, CO, US
Lift One Lodge strategically integrates amenities, programming, and infrastructure into Aspen’s Ajax Mountain, expanding one of Colorado’s most iconic ski bases with a contemporary interpretation of alpine architecture.
As part of a city-wide initiative to revitalize the South Aspen Street neighborhood, the 200,000 sq ft development introduces a new portal to the mountain while preserving pedestrian scale and panoramic views. Nearly half the program—including amenities, commercial areas, parking, and services—is embedded below grade, taking advantage of the site’s dramatic elevation change.
The project includes lodge and residential units, a spa and fitness center, restaurants, skier services, patrol facilities, and commercial space. Two historic chalets are repurposed as a lounge and Ski History Museum, while occupiable roofs support pool decks and planted green roofs that reduce energy demand and stormwater runoff.
At Guerin Glass Architects, Micael led intensive BIM 360 coordination across disciplines—working closely with Structural, MEP, SOE, Interior Design, Food and Beverage, Branding, and City Planning to ensure seamless integration.
