69 125th
Manhattan, NY, US
The 75-unit, twelve-story rental building at 125th Street and Park Avenue features a façade designed by Micael in collaboration with KBA’s partner. The exterior was articulated through a composition of brick, Parklex, and metal panels, breaking down the building’s scale and material expression. As Project Architect, Micael guided the design through approvals with the NYC Department of Buildings, the Department of Energy, Housing Preservation and Development’s Inclusionary Housing program, the Office of Environmental Remediation, the Parks Department, and the Department of Transportation. He led coordination across all trades—including structural and MEP engineers, as well as OER and IH consultants—and served as the primary on-site architect during construction administration, working closely with the general contractor and subcontractors. In addition, Micael oversaw coordination of the PAA when the MTA elected to build out the retail space.
